DORO Celebrates 20 Years This Spring With 2-DVD Set And Tour

April 23, 2007

Locomotive Records celebrates two decades of DORO with the May 22 release of "20 Years: A Warrior Soul", a double-DVD visual treat filmed in state-of-the-art DVD9 format, plus bonus CD.

The first disc is 90 minutes of behind-the-scenes documentary-styled concert footage of the "Metal Queen"'s triumphant Euro-Russian tour, 11 tunes in all, six from "Warrior Soul". It's a never-before-seen look inside the soul of this woman as she meets and greets her fans backstage, revs up pre-show with her band and relaxes post-show. Plus, footage from inside the tourbus itself is juxtaposed with Doro philosophizing about her life.

In a segment entitled "20 Year Anniversary: The Movie", what was actually a German theatrical release highlights the high-energy stageshow upon which she built her reputation. This same three-hour show is seen in its entirety on Disc #2! Guest performers and interviewees include the original WARLOCK (Doro's first band),Zak Stevens (CIRCLE II CIRCLE),Tom Angelripper (SODOM),Lemmy (MOTÖRHEAD),Udo Dirkschneider (ACCEPT),Sabina Classen (HOLY MOSES) and other metal luminaries. The set list is wild and includes many of the tunes Doro is famous for as well as such far-reaching covers as PROCOL HARUM's "Whiter Shade Of Pale", BILLY IDOL's "White Wedding", STEPPENWOLF's "Born To Be Wild", DIO's "Egypt" and JUDAS PRIEST's "You've Got Another Thing Coming" (complete with 60% of SAXON playing behind her). The viewer not only experiences the might and majesty of Doro onstage (33 songs!),but gets to attend the post-show party! The bonus CD contains five tracks: live versions of "Fur Immer", "You're My Family", "My Majesty", "Above The Ashes" and a new song, "Everything's Lost".
